New York, NY and Rockaway, NJ – June 19, 2009 – AL Systems, the leading supplier of software solutions for improving distribution, is pleased to announce that Armani Exchange has successfully gone live with a state-of-the-art order fulfillment system.  Armani Exchange, a leading fashion forward retailer, sought to increase the speed of servicing their customers, increase order accuracy, and reduce the overall costs of distribution.

The heart of the solution is an AL Systems pack-to-light system, with automated conveyor and print-and-apply applicators.  Since implementing the solution, Armani Exchange has achieved tremendous productivity improvements, reducing packing cost per unit by approximately 80% and distribution labor by more than 70%.  In addition, Armani Exchange has dramatically improved turnaround time and accuracy.

“We processed our holiday season for the first time without temps or overtime” said Paul McNamara, Vice President of Distribution at Armani Exchange.  “Our employees love the system.  Accuracy and turnaround times are at all time highs.”
